We tried something big and bold, and for that we want to say thankyou to everyone who showed their support and to all our backers. Without you there is no Batmetal!
What do I have to do to get my money back? You don’t have to do anything! We have issued refunds for all backers (Including those who donated!) You should see the funds back in your account within 5 working days.
What happened!? We would like to thank everyone who backed us and showed their support! You are all awesome! The sad truth is we didn’t raise enough to put on any of the live shows this time.
Will you consider trying again in the future? Yes! We are looking at how we could make a potential future Batmetal LIVE campaign a success. This has been a big learning experience for us, and there are definitely things we can do better next time.
Here are some of the things we would do different: 1. Start smaller. One show in one country + plus a livestream for our fans worldwide. 2. More exclusive perks (Back stage tours, dinner with the creators etc…) 3. More financial transparency
Does this affect Batmetal? Nope! The Youtube series will go on as normal :)
What happens if I canceled the credit card I used to make my original contribution? How will I get my refund? Your refunded contribution will still get sent back to your original credit card's issuing bank without issue. The issuing bank will determine how to get the funds to you:
If there is a balance owed on the card, it offsets the balance. If you opened up a different card, the issuer usually transfers the credit to the new account. Sometimes the issuer will cut a check to the customer. Regardless of which way the issuing bank handles this, the card issuer will handle reimbursing the backer. We recommend reaching out to your issuing bank if you have any questions about how you will be receiving a refund sent to your canceled credit card.
